Justyna Tasak
Born and raised in Poland, I finished college of Fine Arts with Bachelor in Fashion Design. My interest in clothes was always present, but the real work in the industry started just before my college, when I was assistant for Yulia Babich in her atelier,
in Szczecin. The environment of clothes design was inspiring and made me fall in love with the fashion itself.
Next priceless experience I have gained at O’Neill in Holland in the Womans Wear Design departement, with Edda Mayer as my superior. There, I got to know the rules and ways of working with the surf clothes collections and as I am a devoted, hardworking, creative character, it was nothing but enjoyable practice. After that,
I continued my college in Lisbon for over a year, where I worked for Os Burgueses desingers. My projects of all overs prints were used for the entire collection ss2014. At this time I have created a series of large scale contemporary paintings, installations, concept videos, focused on my interaction with the city.
Following my graduation I was invited to work at Dordrecht on my paintings
and sculptures at DordtYard art institution. At the same time I was invited
to be one of the artist at Urban Explorers Festival in Dordrecht. Next step in fashion world, I took while working for men’s premium sailing style collection. During that time my focus was on outerwear, jerseys, tech packs, size specs and all the tasks consider designing a fine collection. In all areas of my involvement in art
and fashion, I am involved in projects with one hundred percent of my creative
and intellectual skills, devoted to the tasks, producing high quality works.
